So, there I am. In the basement dressing room of our local theater, locked in the bathroom. A gospel choir is belting out something about Zion next door, and it comes booming through the wall.
I yank up my spangly skirt, whip out my kit, and stab myself with a needle in the belly. Then I go and sing "Strange Fruit" with my singing group (as part of a musical tour of the 20th-century Civil Rights Movement in honor of MLK Day).

For those of you playing at home, looks like Lefty is pulling ahead with 5 or 6 follies about the same, still fairly small size. This leftward drift I attribute to our new administration. Rightie is keeping it on the d-low, with just a follicle or two, for politeness' sake.
Still on 125. Back to the bump barn tomorrow for my morning wanding and bloodletting.

If ever there were an Awesome Places to Shoot Up (Okay, Not THAT Kind of Shooting Up) Contest, or APtSU(ONTKoSU) for short, you would be a strong contenda.
Good for you and for lefty. As long as righty doesn't perk up every time it hears R.ck Warren, you should be fine.
Good luck at the Bump Barn!
Good luck!!
Love the image! So glad the left is pulling ahead. ;) Good luck tomorrow.
What will happen if there are too many follies for IUI? Will you be converted to IVF? Sorry for putting that out there. You can slap me if you want.
honestly, i've only had to "shoot up" twice over the christmas holidays away from home. i was so afraid that someone would barge into the guest room to see me injecting myself with hormones!
my "drug" habit is not very glamorous, i'm afraid!!!!
"for my morning wanding": these may be my favorite words of any I have seen on an IF blog yet. Absolutely. Fabulous.
I find that it's moments like these when I get that sense of being out of body - is that me? injecting myself?
And then, I feel strangely proud that I'm doing everything that I can to realize a dream and that I have the strength to do it at all.
We are all of us truly remarkable, aren't we?
nothing like shooting up in a dingy bathroom before singing a low down banned jazz tune about racism! awesome.
Shooting up, sparkling attire... Glam life, sister!
