Spree!

I don't know why, but I feel a slight jolt of pleasure, perhaps akin to what devoted gamblers feel, when I plot down the plastic for yet another injection-related charge. I mean, I have never, ever been so sanguine about racking up debts in the four digits--not to the five digits yet, ladies, but watch this space--without a second thought. And my super-stingy guy is similarly blase.

Funny, how all this changes your perspective. First poke tonight. I'm a bit nervous, but the pen makes it pretty much foolproof. That sets this fool's heart at ease.

The gambling analogy is very apropos, isn't it? ; ) Good luck! I never used a pen, but I did find that needles hurt less when I iced the area for awhile first to numb it.

It's like monopoly money! It can't be real, right?

The money part is starting to make me sick to my stomach. Seriously. Ugh! I just spent a grand on my first installment of meds, and I'm thinking it'll be another grand or more before it's all said and done. Puke.

The injections are almost a piece of cake. The nervousness wore off quickly for me. In some strange sortof sadistic way, I enjoy them. It makes me feel like I'm being proactive or something.

Happy shooting up cycle sista! :)

Yeah, I felt the same way when I spent 3 grand on sperm a while back. It is weirdly exciting, and hopefully will yield longer lasting happiness than a pair of shoes.

There does come a point at which you simply stop tallying and just fork over the plastic. That's what buying a house (and furnishing a house) felt like. Whee! Another $400? For what? For the mortgage officer to wipe his ass before sitting down to draw up the papers? SURE! Here's my card!

Plunk, plunk, plunk, drips and drops and there goes another $1,000...
